Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in electrical systems in commercial environments. This role requires a strong ability to read and interpret schematics, as well as expertise in high voltage systems. The Master Electrician will be responsible for building, renovating, and maintaining electrical installations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems in commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics for electrical systems in remodel projects.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical equipment using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Supervise and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on best practices and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or issues.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation related to electrical installations.
- Hands-on experience with various hand tools and power tools used in the electrical trade.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to electrical work is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus but not required
