Summary: As an HVAC Installer you will be responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a combination of technical skills, physical ability, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install new HVAC systems including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, roof top units, split systems, water source heat pumps, fan coils for residential and commercial customers.
- Prepare accurate material list for each new installation.
- Install ductwork, piping, and wiring according to specifications.
- Install and set up controls, such as demand control ventilation, electronic fuel use economizer, dual enthalpy economizers and thermostats
- Ensure systems are installed safely and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as manufacturer's standards.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate with customers to determine their needs and explain installation processes.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation:
- Complete installation records accurately and timely.
- Maintain inventory of tools and parts needed for installations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; EPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC installer.
- Licensing/Certification: EPA certification.
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces and on roofs.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions.
- May require working in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in other potentially limited access environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Compensation:
- Salary based on experience and qualifications ($30.00 - $45.00).
