POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports directly to the Director of Test Operations. Performs removal/installation, cleaning, inspection, repair, and replacement of Power Plant systems, components, and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, company directives and other approved data.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- 2 years of experience as a jet engine technician (Preferred)
- Test facility experience (Preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and work cards
- Must hold a valid driver’s license when hired and during employment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work overtime, shift work, & weekends at short notice
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background test & pre-employment drug test.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
- Power Plant license strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of experience as a jet engine technician – preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Must be able to read, write and understand English as this is a FAA requirement
WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirementsincluding, OSHA,EPA, FAA, DOT, and state and federal regulations.
- As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
- Ability to work overtime, shift work and weekend on short notice
- Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
- The test facility is an outdoor test stand so individuals must be able to work at 40’ + heights
- Operate lift equipment and be capable of lifting 50 or more pounds on an occasional basis
