Operations & Facilities Coordinator

A leading vertically integrated cannabis chain is seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Operations & Facilities Manager to join our growing team! In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of all our retail locations and manufacturing facilities. You'll leverage your handy skills, technology proficiency, and organizational expertise to maintain a welcoming environment for our customers and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all facilities including; security systems, printers, POS, cameras, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, fire alarms, vehicle maintenance and other various mechanical and non mechanical maintenance .
- Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and schedule repairs with qualified vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory using Excel and other relevant software.
- Respond swiftly to emergent issues with receipt printers, POS outages, ATM outages and other technology related needs which impact the business.
- Stay up-to-date on all local and state cannabis regulations and ensure facilities compliance across all stores.
- Schedule and conduct site visits with various regulatory agencies as needed.
- Manage and oversee temporary contractors (subs) for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Implement new technology initiatives to streamline operations.
- Maintain cosmetic upkeep of facilities, including graffiti removal and paint touch-up.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot minor issues, independently, utilizing your handy skills.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state building codes and safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program to optimize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with store managers and staff to address facility-related concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and maintenance best practices.
- Oversee and manage substitute facilities personnel when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of building maintenance principles and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Knowledge and understand of various tools and how to use them
- Experience working in a retail environment and/or cannabis is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
