JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years of experience as a lead installer of ductwork/air distribution systems and/or HVAC equipment OR 5 consecutive years as an Apprentice/Helper ( work must be done for a Licensed HVAC Contractor )
- Maryland Journeyman HVACR License is preferred but not required
- EPA/CFC Certification
- Valid Maryland Driver's License with clean driving record
- Pre-employment screening (Physical examination, Drug test, and Background check)
- Must be able to provide quality workmanship in the safest and most cost effective manner possible
- OSHA certification is preferred, but training can be provided for those that don't have it
- Must be able to follow direction from your supervisor for where and what work is to be done
- Must consistently show up to the office or job site on-time every day or else notify your supervisor as early as possible in the event that something comes up that will cause you to be late or miss work
- Knowledge of state and/or local codes/regulations
- Ability to accurately track time and material while performing work
- Ability to read and understand what items are contained in a submittal package and install them accordingly
- Ability to read and understand a schematic drawing or set of blueprintsso that our purchasing agents can be provided with accurate sizes and quantities for material that needs to be ordered to complete the work shown on the drawings
- Ability to identify conflicts between field conditions and what is shown on the drawings, and make suggestions as to how the conflicts can be resolved
- Must be respectful of job site rules and capable of communicating and coordinating effectively with project management, inspectors and/or other subcontractors on the job
OVERVIEW
R.E. Robertson Plumbing and Heating, Inc. is a family owned and operated plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contractor that, since 1977 , have been providing Annapolis and its surrounding areas with quality service, while simultaneously amassing a constantly growing portfolio of successful construction projects. Both our plumbing and HVAC service departments dispatch several trucks daily from our office to provide a variety of homeowners and businesses with service solutions that they can rely on. In addition to our service department, we are hired by a number of homeowners, businesses, building owners, and general contractors to replace existing, or install new, plumbing and HVAC systems throughout most of the state of MD and the DC metropolitan area. Our service department is dispatched daily from our office (or our answering service for those who are on-call) and serves all of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, and some of the surrounding areas . We have a great reputation in our area that is reflected through our continued growth, with our number one source of new customers being referrals.
Our construction work may be located across our service area, the Baltimore metro area, the DC metro area, or just about anywhere in between . Our construction work is steady thanks to our strong relationships with a number of General Contractors as well as an estimating team that is always fighting to win more jobs. We maintain a diverse portfolio of work that consists of single-family residential renovations and new construction, multi-family residential renovations and new construction, and light-commercial renovations and new construction .
Our specialties include, but are not limited to:
- Low-income highrise and/or garden-style apartment renovations/new construction (Generally requires we pay Davis-Bacon wage rates and mostly consist of a series of tasks that are repetitive from apartment to apartment while operating on a tight and fast-moving production schedule.)
- Residential and commercial equipment change-outs (furnaces, split system heat pumps, ductless split systems, VRF systems, packaged rooftop units)
- Tenant-in-place fan coil units, water sourced heat pump console units, and PTAC/PTHP replacements
- Tenant fit-outs for office buildings and retail spaces
- Restaurants and kitchen exhaust systems
- Boiler/Chiller plant and dual-temperature piping replacements
