Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical installations and repairs within commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics, as well as the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with local codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with electrical systems, including logic controllers and other components.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or Commercial Electrician is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and schematics is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Experience working on construction sites is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
