Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, both low and high voltage, and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, including commercial environments. This role requires proficiency with hand tools and power tools, as well as a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with relevant codes.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify hazards or defects.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Work on low voltage and high voltage systems as required.
- Collaborate with other construction site professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform troubleshooting using an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to resolve electrical issues.
- Assist in the framing carpentry when necessary to support electrical installations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the construction site.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety practices related to electrical work.
- Experience working on commercial projects is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
