Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work across various settings, including residential, commercial, and construction sites. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and maintaining high safety standards while performing electrical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with NEC standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete electrical installations and renovations.
- Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including high voltage systems and logic controllers.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks associated with electrical work.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
