Role Overview:
As a Hydronic HVAC Technician Trainee, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop your hydronic HVAC system installation, shop management, and project support skills. You will have the opportunity to work in a fabrication shop and advanced research facility, as well as at job sites installing new hydronic HVAC technology into buildings. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals eager to learn and excited about pursuing a career in core climate technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the lead research engineer on build/design projects, experiments, and studies.
- Support shop fabrication, organization, preparation, maintenance, repair, and cleanup.
- Assist with hydronic HVAC system installations alongside contractors and lead installers.
- Document protocols, follow timelines, and report progress on projects.
Candidate Skills Required:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Ability complete work on multi-phase timelines.
- Passion for learning new skills, tools, and processes.
- Background in construction, home improvement, or engineering.
- Fabrication experience (professional, educational, or hobbyist).
- Strong customer service and support skills
- Dedication to delivering the highest quality work regardless to timeline and resource constraints
- Ability to lift up to 60+ lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Comfort working at heights.
- Capacity to stand, crouch, or kneel for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
- Tolerance for working in varying environmental conditions, including low and high-temperature ranges, and loud noises.
- Comfort working in busy construction sites.

Pay: $20.00 - $33.00 per hour
