Position: Commercial HVAC Technician - Journeyman and Master Levels
Location: Charlotte, NC
Role Overview: Join our team as a Commercial HVAC Technician in Charlotte, NC, and play a pivotal role in maintaining and ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of commercial HVAC systems. Whether at the journeyman or master level, your expertise will be crucial in a variety of projects within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Journeyman Level Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various commercial HVAC systems.
- Provide exemplary customer service through various communication channels.
- Adhere to safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for overtime and weekend work as required.
Master Level Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, service, and operation of commercial HVAC systems, including but not limited to DX & Water Source Heat Pumps, Split Systems, and Packaged RTUs.
- Expertise in VRF, DOAS units, Energy Recovery Wheels, and specialized air handling equipment repairs.
- Lead repair teams, ensuring safe work environments and practices.
- Navigate and troubleshoot O&M On-Board controls including Tracer-Summit, Carrier CCN, Daikin Microtech, etc.
- Rig, harness, and relocate heavy equipment parts.
- Document and manage paperwork efficiently.
- Rebuild and troubleshoot large gas-fired commercial boilers.
- Expertise in large commercial Centrifugal and Air-Cooled Chillers.
- Exceptional customer service skills, proficient in communication across various platforms.
Qualifications for Journeyman Level:
- 3-7 years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC service.
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA/CFC certification and a valid driver's license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Successful completion of background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report.
Qualifications for Master Level:
- High School diploma / GED.
- EPA/CFC Certification.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Relevant EPA/CFC certificates.
- Advanced skills in commercial HVAC systems and components.
