We are seeking a skilled and versatile General Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set encompassing HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. As a General Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, including routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting HVAC systems, lubricating moving parts, and replacing filters to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heating systems, and ventilation systems.
- Conduct carpentry work such as repairing doors, windows, floors, and walls as needed.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems including wiring, fixtures, switches, and outlets.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
- Assist with facility renovations and construction projects as directed by supervisors.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and storage areas.
- Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, with a strong background in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for working with HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
