Garage Door Technician - In Home Sales

Position Overview:
Seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Technician to join our team in Arlington Heights, IL. The Technician will be responsible for service and repair of residential garage doors and related components. This role requires a strong background in garage door repairs and a keen ability to drive in-home sales through excellent customer service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repair, and maintenance of garage doors and openers.
Diagnose issues and provide effective solutions for garage door malfunctions.
Manage and lead a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality workmanship.
Deliver exceptional in-home sales presentations to potential customers.
Provide accurate cost estimates and close sales transactions.
Maintain inventory and manage tools and equipment.
Ensure timely completion of projects and maintain a clean work environment.
Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of garage door mechanics, techniques, and repair procedures.
Demonstrated ability in in-home sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
