Position Overview
The Member Services Representative I is responsible for providing professional and timely customer service and support to TAC Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) members and Risk Management Services (RMS) staff. Coordinate and organize member renewals, member updates and new business activities associated with all lines of coverage offered by TAC RMP in accordance with the TAC RMP Member Services Standards and Procedures. Responsible for maintaining accurate information related to each line of coverage and coordinating with other TAC staff to deliver services to TAC RMP members.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide professional customer service to TAC RMP members and RMS staff.
- Prioritize timeliness and completeness in interactions with Members and other RMS staff.
- Analyze TAC RMP member renewals, endorsements, and certificates. Ensure the comprehensive collection of member exposure data is gathered.
- Verify Member coverage information, Member changes in coverage, and seek out additional information when required.
- Process coverage endorsements and certificates in the risk management information system (RMIS) following the division procedures and accurately document Member files.
- Maintain accurate Member files, coverage endorsements, and certificates in the RMIS.
- Work closely with RMS marketing staff throughout the year.
- Review bid specifications, analyze, and process requests for proposals to ensure accurate information is collected and ensure timely response and delivery.
- Ensure TAC RMP members coverage related documents are executed correctly and are saved electronically in the RMIS, shared file drive, and in TACs record retention system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience / Education Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
- A minimum of three years in commercial insurance or relevant work experience required.
- Associate in General Insurance (AINS),Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR), or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) preferred.

- Position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to relate to people with a variety of cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
- Position requires a high degree of professionalism in representing TAC in significant contacts with elected officials, members of state governmental offices, and members.
- Position requires protection of confidential and proprietary TAC and TAC RMP information.
- Position requires excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, be self-directed, and critical thinking.
- Must be proficient in use of personal computer and Microsoft Office.
- Must have or develop proficiency in TACs risk management information system.
- Must be proficient in using Excel.
- Excellent time management and record keeping required.
- This is a member facing role and as a requirement for this position you agree to sign the TAC Photo/Video Release Form allowing the use of your picture, likeness, image, and/or voice recording videos, and other posts to TAC social media accounts, webpages, promotional, and educational materials.
Physical Requirements
- May be required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- May be required to stand, bend, kneel, reach or squat occasionally for extended lengths of time.
- May be required to climb stairs or a ladder.
- May be required to lift or move boxes and designated TAC equipment, up to 25 pounds.
- May require minimal travel.

Pay: $32.50 - $34.00 per hour
