The Outside Sales Engineer is a key member of the organization where he/she will play a vital and active role in supporting the Norman S Wright sales group.

JOB DESCRIPTION / Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage HVAC Equipment sales and work closely with customers to meet project expectations.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers.
Talk with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
Collaborate with sales teams and estimating department to meet customer requirements and provide sales support on a variety of projects.
Secure new construction projects and tenant improvement projects and coordinate product delivery.
Plan and modify products or create custom solutions to meet customer needs.
Help clients solve problems and troubleshoot installed equipment.
Recommend improved equipment or processes to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production.
Help in researching and developing new products.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Product knowledge is a must.
Ability to identify prospective customers, leads and convert it to sales..
Ability to understand, translate and communicate technical information to different audiences
Strong interpersonal skills both for building relationships with clients and effectively communicating with other members of the sales team.

Business Unit Specific Qualifications:

Familiarity with HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, and HVAC controls is preferred.
Familiarity with Data Centers is preferred. Especially when it comes to cooling and ventilating technologies.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time..
This position may require occasional moving inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
May require constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, phone, and computer printer.
This position may require constant moving of hands/fingers.
This position may require occasional lifting, standing, bending, climbing and stooping.
