Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrician Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support licensed electricians in various tasks related to electrical installations and maintenance in both commercial and industrial settings. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working on construction sites. Some traveling will be required. Drug test is required before hiring and a random drug screening may be required.

Duties

Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assigned tasks.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
Help with low voltage wiring installations as needed.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and report any issues to the supervising electrician.
Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Cleaning and maintaining companies fleet of vehicles, trailers, equipment and shop.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Electrician Assistant or in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with commercial and industrial electrical systems is a plus.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians.
Ability to work effectively on construction sites, including lifting materials as required.
A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
CDL is a plus.
