Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration systems, particularly ammonia refrigeration, and possess the mechanical knowledge necessary to troubleshoot and maintain various cooling systems. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of refrigeration units and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment, focusing on ammonia refrigeration.
Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of cooling systems to identify issues.
Build and weld components as necessary for repairs or installations.
Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper functionality.
Provide excellent service as a technician, addressing customer needs and concerns promptly.
Safely operate a van for transportation to job sites while adhering to all traffic regulations.
Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.

Skills

Proficient in refrigerate systems with a strong understanding of ammonia refrigeration processes.
Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
Experience in building and welding components related to refrigeration systems is preferred.
Familiarity with air conditioning systems is advantageous.
Competence in using diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters for electrical testing.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van operation.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
