We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician with a strong background in the start-up and commissioning of IMC HVAC systems, including chillers, PCM, FNW, CCC, and other related equipment. This position primarily involves the start-up, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems in critical environments such as data centers. Candidates with data center experience are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC systems, be able to troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure systems are operating efficiently to meet client specifications.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the start-up and commissioning of IMC HVAC systems, including chillers, PCM, FNW, CCC, and other HVAC equipment in data center environments.
Perform detailed testing and diagnostics on HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure all systems are running at peak efficiency.
Calibrate HVAC systems and components to meet operational standards and manufacturer specifications, ensuring all systems are balanced and optimized.
Work closely with the engineering, operations, and project management teams to review system plans, address technical concerns, and ensure systems meet project requirements.
Complete accurate documentation of start-up procedures, system configurations, testing results, and commissioning reports for clients and internal use.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing start-up, testing, and commissioning tasks, ensuring a safe working environment.
Identify and resolve issues that arise during system start-up, escalate complex issues to senior technical staff, and recommend solutions.
Provide support during post-commissioning phase to ensure smooth transition and continued operation of HVAC systems.

Professional Qualifications

3+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician, with specific experience in start-up and commissioning of large tonnage air-cooled/centrifugal HVAC systems, such as chillers, PCM, FNW, and CCC.
Strong preference for candidates with experience working in data centers or other mission-critical environments.
Proficiency in commissioning HVAC systems, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components, and understanding HVAC control systems and automation.
EPA 608 Certification (Universal), HVAC/R certifications, or other relevant industry certifications.
In-depth knowledge of IMC HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and associated components.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, engineers, and team members effectively.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks as needed.
Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work safely in potentially hazardous environments.
A valid driver’s license is required for traveling to client sites.
