Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, construction, and maintenance. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics, working with hand and power tools, and understanding the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and other diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction site practices.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience with industrial electrician tasks is a plus.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay: $28.28 - $45.56 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
