Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in both residential and commercial settings. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Diagnose and repair issues with heating, cooling, and refrigeration units.
- Install new HVAC systems according to schematics and manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and troubleshoot problems.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
- Work safely with ammonia refrigeration systems when required.
- Assist in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations or repairs as needed.
- Drive company vehicles to job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role in the HVAC/R field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read schematics.
- Familiarity with various HVAC systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, such as voltmeter, gas leak detectors etc.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive a van for transportation to job sites.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 60 per week
