Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work on both high and low voltage applications. This role requires reading schematics and using various tools, including ammeters, voltmeters, and power tools. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems, pumps, and skids in chemical industrial settings.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Utilize ammeters and voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand system layouts.
- Perform low voltage and high voltage electrical work as required.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Knowledge of ammeters, voltmeters, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid Driver's License.
