Vision NC is a wastewater collection and stormwater conveyance maintenance service provider located in Raleigh, NC. Our service area is concentrated around the Triangle Area and constantly expanding. We assist both private contractors and municipalities with pipeline cleaning, inspection, and renewal of their critical underground infrastructure, in addition to providing a multitude of related services.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator. Come join a growing company that is focused on utility infrastructure. This position is based out of our Raleigh, North Carolina office. As a Vacuum Truck Operator, you will be responsible for daily driving and operation a vacuum truck to clean pipelines, manholes, pump stations, and other underground infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete pre and post-trip truck inspections
- Adhere to NCDOT and safety requirements (DOT Program, D&A Clearinghouse, Random Drug Screen Program)
- Clean various diameter sewer and stormwater pipes with proper jetting equipment
- Vacuum out manhole, storm drain boxes, wet wells and other underground vaults
- Track and log hours and job details in our job dispatch software
- Work as a team with CCTV operators and other team members
- Continue to learn and train on new processes, safety procedures, and equipment
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with CDL endorsement
- Experience with vacuum truck operation and pipeline cleaning preferred
- Work well with others and work as a team
- Confined space training a plus
- Ability to lift / move up to 75 pounds
- Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations
- Availability to travel

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
