Equipment Mechanic (not heavy)
We are seeking an energetic Equipment Mechanic to join our La Porte, TX team, who can change direction at a moment’s notice to maintain all mobile equipment to include but not limited to repairs, diagnosis, and troubleshooting. Performs daily preventative maintenance as assigned by supervisor.

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Disassemble/Reassemble heavy and mobile equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair
- Fabricate metal pieces and replace gaskets as needed
- Troubleshoot, repair and test all equipment to ensure functionality
- Utilize propylene cutting rig
- Repair equipment using MIG and/or stick welding
- Other duties as assigned
- Enter data for repairs, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, inventory check out and time
- Complete daily work and training on computers
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience with mobile equipment repair
- Diesel Certification required
- Air Conditioning Certification or equivalent required
- Caterpillar or Kubota certifications or education a plus!
- Hydraulics Systems repair
- Must understand schematics to troubleshoot 12&24v systems
- Ability to use a cutting rig (propylene cutting torch)
- Valid Drivers’ License
- Computer literate
