Mechanical Project Manager
Mechanical Contracting- HVAC- MEP- Process Piping
Our client, an excellent large mechanical contractor, is actively seeking to hire a Mechanical Project Manager to run projects within the Greater Washington, DC Metro area (MD, DC & N VA).
Qualified candidates will possess the following minimum requirements:
- Approximately five (5) or more years of project management experience in MEP Construction, Mechanical Contracting, Commercial/Industrial HVAC & Plumbing, Industrial Process Piping or Mechanical construction field.
- Demonstrated success managing larger mechanical construction projects
- HVAC, Mechanical Systems, Process Piping, Industrial Plumbing projects
- Labor scheduling, material scheduling, purchasing, job costing & scheduling, maintaining project safety
- BA or BS degree a plus, not required: Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or related field
- PMP Certified a plus, not required
- BIM (Building Information Modelling) project experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project Scheduling Tools
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Leading mechanical conversations during project coordination meetings.
- Manage all project control procedures
- Review, formalize, and approve documentation for the successful tracking of projects, including submittals, schedules, schedule of values, billings, requests for information, requests for change orders, change orders, project start-up, close out
- Manage work sequences, long lead items, procurement, and project schedules
