With a robust client base in Texas, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator. As Plumbing Estimator, you will be responsible for compiling the bids from start to finish, preparing timely and accurate estimates including equipment, labor, and materials. This includes reading the bid specifications, RFI’s, and addendums, and reviewing the plans (technical drawings & documents). You will also do digital “takeoffs” of the pipe, valves, fittings, fixtures, and equipment from the plans. You will also be responsible for obtaining material and equipment and subcontractor pricing. After projects are awarded you will work with the project manager/s setting up project paperwork including schedule of values, job costing, and initial project schedules. In this role you will proactively communicate with clients around pricing for change orders as required. You will also work closely with project managers and superintendents and review job costing and project schedules to ensure the projects are coming in at or under estimated cost.
- Proven experience (prefer at least 5 years) as a plumbing/piping estimator with a strong project portfolio
- Proficient in budgeting and conceptual estimating across various sectors
- Ability to estimate Plumbing and Mechanical Projects
- Experience with estimating software
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially excel
- Have experience working in a busy contractor’s office
- Are quick learners and able to manage multiple projects
