Hotel General Manager
Location is about about an hour from San Antonio.
General Manager for select service franchise hotel. Marriott, Hilton, IHG or hotels experience required and certification preferred.
Sales experience and revenue orientation is desirable
Looking for mature, experienced manager, with proven record. Leadership, operational smoothness, expense control, guest satisfaction focus are all essential attributes.
- Hotel management experience is essential. Systems knowledge of Pep, Fosse, or Opera needed. Select or extended stay experience preferred. with GM certification.
- food/beverage experience NOT considered. So please do not waste our mutual time.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Set policies and processes
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Skills
- Proven experience as a General Manager/Sales Director similar executive role
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Prefer college degree, BSc/BA in Business or relevant field.

Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3- years hotel Sales experience (at least 1 year at the corporate level) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
