Are you a closer? Or a top tech ready to come out of the field? We need a top estimator and salesperson for Commercial/Industrial HVAC Equipment Estimator
This role will present and sell a full range of commercial and industrial HVAC solutions to our existing customer base, as well as prospecting for new business. For over 50 years, Lochridge- Priest has worked with general contractors, owners, subcontractors, builders, developers, and business owners across the great state of Texas to provide top of the line mechanical and plumbing services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be an entrepreneurial sales leader who can generate new leads and build relationships outside the company with both new and existing customers to drive margin.
- Accurately and effectively estimate quotes for HVAC (plus side if you can do plumbing and electrical as well).
- Acquire new commercial and industrial accounts by developing positive relationships with general contractors, facility managers, business owners, and management companies.
- Plan for the successful development, organization, strategic positioning, and preparation for all customer meetings and business correspondence. Involve appropriate partners.
- Determine client needs and effectively communicate company resources and capabilities that will meet and exceed their needs.
- Serve as key point of contact with customers.
- Exhibit and stay current with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the mechanical contracting business and all available solutions.
- Identify new work leads and manage follow-up, record keeping, and information distribution.
- Balance time between prospecting and networking, managing the relationship with current customers, and providing all necessary follow up information.
- Cultivate lasting relationships to build a profitable business pipeline for longer term success.
- Coordinate the development of new business opportunities with project management and operations teams to assure customer satisfaction.
- Remain open to building, sharing and learning new and different ways to drive business impact.
- Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to customers.
- Attend industry and community functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years MEP experience.
- Minimum High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred and/or the equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required. Experience with an accounting system is a plus.
- Demonstrates professionalism, models integrity and confidentiality, and displays characteristics supportive of the ideal company culture.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and respectful communication style. Ability to communicate with a variety of personalities and educational backgrounds.
- Highly organized, skilled at prioritizing multiple tasks, self-directed, and manages time effectively.
- Adapts easily to changing duties and responsibilities.
- Works well within a team environment.
