The ideal Superintendent will be responsible to support all aspects of Construction while partnering with the HVAC Manager for all onsite management of construction projects and field personnel from inception to completion of each assigned project. The Mechanical Superintendent must be a competent person in the construction trade with experience in mechanical equipment, piping installation works, welding procedures and processes, lifting and rigging and all necessary relevant experience in process commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Own the project schedule.
- Provide on-site leadership and build a team environment
- Follow Company and client safety rules and procedures.
- Plan for safety equipment needed on the job site.
- Order material as per Company procedures; i.e., get 3 quotes and create purchase order.
- Complete daily reports regarding work accomplished, personnel on site, incidents, inspections, equipment use, etc.
- Complete all required safety reports within 24 hours.
- Work closely with city officials in requesting, scheduling, and coordinating applicable inspections.
- Be able to step in and help on job-site when needed.
- Deliver showroom quality work on time, every time.
Qualifications:
- Construction Management, and/or 5 years of construction operations or construction-related experience.
· * Must have in depth understanding of mechanical systems.
· - EPA Certified a plus
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Proficiency in the use of computers with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and ability to learn new software applications.
- Must be able to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Ability and experience to profitably manage all aspects of an assigned project.
- Ability to initiate and maintain business relationships.
- Must be able to travel to areas of remote construction project location when required.
- Must be able to work the hours required to profitably complete the project.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle history record that meets company insurance requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Meet all conditions of drug and alcohol testing requirements as a condition of employment, including passing pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests.
