Job Description:

Service Mechanics needed for a fast-growing union mechanical contractor. Qualified candidates will have access to Top Union Pay, Fringe Benefits and ongoing paid training, certification and recertification opportunities. Qualified licensed applicants will become a permanent member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 486. Candidates must have the ability to Troubleshoot, Alter, Install, Maintain and Repair Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems used in various commercial applications. Must have good working knowledge of VRF systems, Fan coils, Air Handlers, Unit Heaters, Split Systems, Packaged Equipment, Chillers and Boilers. Candidates must have knowledge of Mechanical Piping Systems for Process, Refrigeration, Direct Expansion, Heating, Steam and Chilled Water and Geothermal. Candidates must have good working strong knowledge of Boiler systems and power burner controls. Experience with Siemens, Johnson and Tridium Controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide detailed reports and maintenance records

- Must have the ability to train clients on equipment operation and maintenance

- Self-starter and excellent communication skills

- Computer skills and technical skills are necessary

- On call and overtime is required

Requirements:

Valid Maryland Driver’s License
Current Maryland State Journeyman or Master’s License
Commercial experience required
Must have 5 years experience in the field ( Less than 5 years application will be rejected )
Clean criminal record
Drug-free ( All applicants will be drug screened prior to hire ) and random testing
