Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a Communications Northwest Mobile Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mobile communication equipment, helping to ensure our customers stay connected wherever they are.
Your Role with Us:
· Install vehicle electronics including public safety emergency equipment, safety lighting, mobile 2-way radios, antennas, and accessories, ensuring installations meet the highest safety standards.
· Test 12/24-volt electrical components for operational systems.
· Troubleshoot mobile radio issues using testing equipment.
· Perform radio programming and software updates.
· Complete accurate work orders.
· Repair existing installations.
· Travel with install crews for offsite projects.
· Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
· Collaborate with team members and follow manager's directions.
· Travel: Occasionally, you will get to travel to complete offsite projects and attend training sessions offered by our vendors to continue expanding your knowledge.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED; or three years or more related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Radio Frequency Knowledge or related experience.
· Strong reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with various abstract and concrete variables.
· Must have a Valid Driver's License.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
· Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds, and rarely move up to 100 pounds.
· Frequent use of hands; standing, sitting, reaching, walking, climbing, and stooping.
· Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, mechanical parts, high places, outdoor weather conditions, low-voltage electricity, and moderate noise levels.
