As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a highly organized and experienced Energy & Estimation Manager to oversee our Energy Department.
The Energy & Estimation Manager will primarily focus on administrative tasks such as managing reports, scheduling, coordinating field verifiers, and maintaining job costing software. This role involves overseeing energy modeling programs, ensuring staff certifications are up to date, and managing vendor invoicing. Experience with energy programs like EPS, Energy Star, LEED, as well as certifications such as RFI, HERS, BPI, and HES is preferred but not required.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Oversee administrative operations of the Energy Department, including managing energy modeling reports and scheduling.
- Coordinate with field verifiers, communicating energy program requirements and ensuring quality assurance for field verifications.
- Review energy modeling for programs such as EPS, Energy Star, and LEED.
- Ensure staff maintains required certifications and stays updated on industry standards.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections, field verification visits, and energy audits.
- Maintain and update job costing software for field staff and vendor invoicing.
- Handle communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely project execution.
- Track and manage department performance, reporting to upper management on key metrics.
- Perform plan take offs for bidding new construction, additions/remodels, and commercial buildings
- Attend Green Building trainings and events
- Other duties to be assigned when deemed necessary by manager
Job Requirements:
- SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION - Work in a construction environment, with and around insulation of all types
- Experience in energy modeling and working with EPS, Energy Star, LEED, or other energy efficiency programs.
- Administrative experience, particularly in scheduling, reporting, and coordination.
- Basic knowledge of data entry, vendor invoicing, and staff time tracking.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
- Must wear PPE when appropriate while on duty (mask, gloves, vest, etc)
Preference Given:
- 1 year of experience in the Energy field is REQUIRED
- RFI (Rating Field Inspector) certification, preferred but not required
- HERS (Home Energy Rating System) and HES (Home Energy Score) certifications, preferred but not required
- Experience in the insulation or construction industry is a bonus
