Journeyperson Electrician
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in commercial and industrial electrical work. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems in various settings such as stores, warehouse and other commercial/industrial environments.
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with local and national regulations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using Voltmeters and other hand tools.
- Work on small to medium scale projects, collaborating with other trades for efficient project completion
- Utilize Power tools, lifts and other equipment effectively to complete tasks
- Interpret and implement electrical plans, including reading schematics for different motors, lighting controls and EMS systems.
- Perform excavating/trenching/digging tasks as needed
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician
- Familiarity with logic controllers and industrial electrician practices
- Competency in working with both low voltage and high voltage systems
- Proficiency in using voltmeters, schematics, and other electrical tools
- Experience working on construction sites and collaborating with diverse teams
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of NEC Code and Practices
- Experience as an Commercial/Industrial Electrician
- Proficient in working with low voltage systems
- Proficient in working with high voltage systems
- Ability to use voltmeters and schematics effectively
- Comfortable working on construction sites
- Proficiency with power tools for electrical work
- Understanding of frame carpentry for installation purposes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
