Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. Field Service Technicians repair, maintain and install Coffee and Beverage equipment throughout the Chicagoland area. We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented individuals who can perform diagnostics of mechanical and electrical issues on coffee machines and can quickly take action to return machines to working order. Technicians will install and repair water lines and fittings as needed. Provide customer service onsite with correcting issues and complaints regarding equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial mechanics, electrical and water systems, and can provide their own tools.
Job Responsibilities:
- Visits customers as assigned by Service Manager or Dispatcher to investigate faulty equipment. Diagnoses problems and retrieves stocked parts from van to quickly repair.
• Makes repairs or calibrates equipment to return to working order.
• Cleans and maintains equipment on location to prevent future service.
• Documents closing of calls, invoice completion, asset verification and any required customer documentation
• Maintains a good working relationship with customers to maintain a positive image of the company.
• Perform activities including emergency service calls, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
• Maintains organized vehicle with spare parts. Follows company guidelines on safety and operates vehicle in a safe manner.
• Completes daily Driver Report and follows guidelines in the Fleet Manual.
• Follows all safety standards and policies set by manufacturers and company.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding in repairing small electrical appliances.
• Must be willing to learn how to connect equipment to water sources, add additional lines and drainage when vital.
• Must be willing to learn how to work with copper, braided and pex lines. This skill is normally developed through six months to one year of experience in equipment service operations or through vocational training.
• Must also possess effective communication and customer service skills.
• Incumbent must have an acceptable driving record and a qualified driver’s license.
This role will have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking & standing. This role will also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
