Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing various equipment, with a focus on air conditioning and ammonia refrigeration systems. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. The Service Technician will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties
- Maintain and service air conditioning and ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Perform welding tasks as necessary for repairs and installations.
- Build and assemble equipment according to specifications.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to test electrical components and ensure proper functionality.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Drive a service van to various job sites, ensuring timely arrival and completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role within the HVAC or refrigeration industry.
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Proficient in welding techniques relevant to equipment repair.
- Familiarity with air conditioning systems and ammonia refrigeration processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical circuits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
