Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Repair:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fixtures, and fittings.
- Assemble, install, and test water, gas, and drainage systems.
- Troubleshoot and fix leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues.
- Inspections & Maintenance:
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure systems meet safety and building regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent future problems.
- Planning & Collaboration:
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans to determine layout and materials.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and clients for new constructions or renovations.
- Estimate costs and timeframes for plumbing projects.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to safety standards and building codes.
- Use protective equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure proper disposal of plumbing waste materials.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and materials.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to plumbing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in tight spaces and lift heavy equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or relevant certification.
- State or local plumbing license (if required).
- Previous experience in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing is preferred.
Work Environment
- May involve working in confined spaces, at heights, or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Requires the ability to lift heavy tools and materials.
- May require on-call availability for emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
