Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical components in commercial settings. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics, working with various power tools, and adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. The Commercial Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems within commercial buildings.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to test electrical systems for functionality and safety.
- Work with logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete renovation projects efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all installations and repairs.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while using power tools safely.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents effectively.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.65 - $35.00 per hour
