POSITION OVERVIEW
RoofER is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team as Door-to-Door Solar Canvassers. As a canvasser, you will play a crucial role in promoting solar energy solutions to homeowners within designated neighborhoods. Your primary responsibility will be engaging with residents, educating them about the benefits of solar energy, and scheduling appointments for our project coordinators.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Door-to-Door Outreach: Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned residential areas to initiate conversations with homeowners about solar energy solutions.
- Educational Engagement: Effectively communicate the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and sustainability, to potential customers.
- Lead Generation: Identify and qualify interested homeowners by assessing their energy needs and scheduling appointments for our sales team to conduct consultations.
- Maintain Records: Accurately record and update lead information, feedback, and appointments in the company's CRM system.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and objections in a professional and courteous manner.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and sales representatives to optimize outreach strategies and achieve team goals.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive and driven individuals who can work independently and meet targets.
- Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic and positive demeanor with a passion for renewable energy and environmental sustainability.
- Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and overcome objections with persistence and resilience.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a commitment to fulfilling scheduled canvassing hours.
- Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using basic computer applications and CRM software for lead management.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of walking and standing for extended periods and navigating residential neighborhoods.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous sales experience
- Experience selling solar energy solutions
SALARY/INCENTIVES
- Uncapped Commissions: first-year reps can expect to earn over between 75-150k in first year. Top reps can earn substantially more
