**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Plumbing and HVAC Detailer and BIM Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, drawings, coordination documents, and material lists for commercial plumbing and HVAC systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial construction processes, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop detailed 3D models of commercial plumbing and HVAC systems using BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP).- Produce accurate and detailed construction drawings, schematics, coordination documents, and material lists.- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of BIM models.- Identify and resolve clashes and conflicts in the BIM model through coordination with other trades and disciplines.- Assist in the development and implementation of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.- Review project specifications, submittals, and other technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.- Perform quality control checks on BIM models and drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support and expertise as needed.- Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction and as-built phases.- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in BIM and commercial plumbing and HVAC systems.**Qualifications:**- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC detailing and BIM modeling.- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD MEP.- Strong understanding of commercial plumbing and HVAC systems, codes, and standards.- Excellent technical drawing and modeling skills.- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.- Experience with Navisworks and other coordination software is a plus.- Professional certifications in BIM or related areas are a plus.
