Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Department: Facilities
Accountability: This position reports to the Facilities Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general maintenance of all buildings, machinery, and grounds
- Ensure the cleanliness of the facilities including, organization, floor cleaning, and painting
- Ensure all equipment is running smoothly in support of daily production and serve as first point of contact for any inquiries regarding machine issues or failures
- Coordinate machine repair and service with equipment manufacturers
- Create, Document, and Perform routine preventative maintenance plans and procedures for equipment according to the OEM recommendations
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, equipment, electrical systems, circuits, and components
- Resolve problems by investigating and identifying issues, and implementing solutions
- Maintain safety by correcting hazards and utilizing PPE and Lockout Tagout procedures
- Support all key initiatives as defined by the Safety Committee
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance
- Manage emergency weather plans and coordinate snow removal
- Assist in continuous building and manufacturing improvement projects in the facilities
- Maintain quality service by enforcing organization standards
- Communicate expectations; monitor and appraise job results
- Deliver annual performance appraisals, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the proper use of all equipment and resources
- Train new hires and cross-train existing personnel
- Support professional growth opportunities for direct reports
Requirements:
- Technical Certification or 3+ years of equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Supervisory experience
- Electrical and Plumbing maintenance experience, preferred
- HVAC experience, Carpentry skills, and Computer skills, a plus
- Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift
- Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings
Additional Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass license check by insurer
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, and bending
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
- General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus
