Job Description: As a Plumbing Apprentice at Coppera, LLC, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to delivering high-quality plumbing services. Your responsibilities will include prioritizing safety, executing daily tasks per the Weekly Work Plan, ensuring installations meet Coppera quality standards, organizing materials, and assisting with material ordering. Weekly attendance at safety meetings and quarterly tracking of skills against the apprenticeship program are essential aspects of this role. Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Prioritize safety by engaging in daily stretch and flex routines and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Execute daily tasks as directed by the Crew Lead according to the Weekly Work Plan.
- Ensure high-quality installation per Coppera quality standards.
- Organize and inventory materials and small tools.
- Accurately enter time with meaningful information.
- Assist in material ordering as directed.
Weekly:
- Attend safety meetings to stay informed about best practices and updates.
Quarterly:
- Track skills against the apprenticeship program to ensure continuous learning and knowledge development.
Working Conditions:
- Typically work outdoors with varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Qualifications:
- Embrace the mission, vision, and core values of Coppera, LLC.
- Strong communication skills, including listening, clarity, empathy, positivity, and inclusiveness, both written and verbal.
- Proactive problem-solving ability to identify and provide quick solutions.
- Possess safety certifications, including OSHA 10, CPR certifications, and Confined Space Certification.
- Familiarity with reading and understanding the Weekly Work Plan.
- Hold a valid Texas Apprentice Card.
- Familiarity with Coppera Quality Standards.
- Understanding of cost codes and how costs are applied to the project budget.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to learn and retain knowledge regarding plumbing systems and materials.
- Understanding of the material requisition process.
Additional Qualifications:
- Commitment to continuous learning and retention of plumbing skills.
- Punctuality and readiness to work each day with tools.
- Full participation in all company-offered or sponsored training programs.
- Maintain a valid apprentice card through 8,000 hours of on-the-job training to be eligible for journeyman license testing.
Dexterity Requirements:
- Must have sufficient dexterity to operate office machines and equipment, including computers and similar devices.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to use basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, ratios, etc.).
Language Skills:
- Effective communication in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to make formal and informal presentations to individuals and groups.
- Multilingual capabilities (Spanish) are not required but would be an advantage.
Spatial Skills:
- Ability to visualize and understand project requirements and specifications based on plans, drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
- Capacity to create a visualization of a construction project in the form of a readable and understandable drawing or sketch.
