Mechanical Systems Testing & Balancing is seeking a hardworking, forward thinking, reliable apprentice to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow in our ever-expanding industry. No HVAC experience is required. We train in the field from the basics up, but the ability to think and act mechanically is a big plus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
- Daily tasks will require the use of power tools
- Handling tools, ladders and test equipment as directed
- Participating in coursework on test and balance procedures
- Proactively assisting test and balance technicians on other projects and responsibilities as assigned
- Understanding of safety protocols to assure a safe working environment.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to interact with Clients and other construction trades
- Client focused attitude
- Self-motivated attitude, with strong work ethic. Proactive in seeking additional work as appropriate.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Must have access to reliable transportation and possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to maintain a clean driving record.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and able to function and work in a team environment.
- Must possess ability to lift 10+ pounds and climb ladders.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
