The General Manager will assist and execute all aspects of Altitudes operations including guest services, sales and marketing, and staffing. As a leader of the team, the General Manager will assume a critical role in the strengthening of operations and the delivery of the companys business goals. You will have access to support from an established brand, a peer group of other managers from across the Altitude network, as well as the business owners who will ensure you have all the tools to succeed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Work with and support the franchise owner and support center team
- Coach and develop a large and diverse team through clear written and verbal communication
- Manage all facets of the operation, including regular business performance reporting
- Establish and uphold Altitude standards and expectations
- Oversee Altitudes defined processes around inventory and reporting responsibilities
- Oversee labor and spending for the business, within the parks guidelines
- Develop the team by establishing profitability goals and rewarding positive behavior
People
- Recruit and hire talent
- Set and hold expectations of accountability with the team, upholding brand standards
- Ensure execution of training programs to equip the team to perform their job functions successfully and deliver positive guest experiences
- Conduct regular department meetings to foster employee engagement, communicate any changes to company policies and procedures, address employee concerns, foster idea-sharing and suggestions for improvement.
- Assure staffing levels meet business needs, while taking into account team member well-being
- Lead and facilitate change management in support of organizational goals.
- Select and develop high-potential staff members to take on greater responsibility and/or internal promotions into higher levels at the park or support center team opportunities
Sales
- Execute sales and marketing plans in collaboration with the support center team and owners
- Maintain good working relationships with the local community and third parties
- Manage the budget and business plan to meet or exceed planned financial performance, make adjustments as necessary, to adapt to changing situations
Guest Services
- Create an on-brand Altitude guest experience through superior operations
- Seek out guest feedback and use for management and development
- Maintain a safe and secure facility for all park guests
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience in managing a team in an entertainment or food and beverage environment or the ability to apply similar experience from other sectors
- Able to recruit, motivate, develop, retain, and promote top talent through thoughtful leadership and genuine concern for team member growth
- Flexibility to work days, some evenings or weekends, and some holidays, as required
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with constant distractions
- Manage the business to deliver a great customer experience and meet targets set
- Act as a mentor and lead by strong example
- Maintain a professional image
