Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical/Mechanical Assembler Technician with a strong industrial mechanical background and expertise in electrical troubleshooting. This role involves the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems for industrial equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in assembly operations, mechanical system installation, and diagnosing and resolving electrical issues. They should also possess a keen attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Assembly: Assemble complex mechanical systems, subassemblies, and components following engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and control panels to identify and resolve faults or issues. Utilize multimeters, schematics, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
- System Testing: Conduct functional testing of assembled systems and equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications.
- Installation & Calibration: Install and calibrate mechanical and electrical components and systems to meet operational standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, electrical troubleshooting, tests, and repairs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve assembly processes and resolve any system issues.
- Compliance: Ensure that all assembly procedures, equipment installations, and electrical troubleshooting comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized working area
- Perform quality control to assure parts and units are functioning properly and up to code
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as an industrial or diesel mechanic a plus
- Previous work with an engineering team a plus
- Proven experience as a machinery assembler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to the assembly process.
- Ability to operate a forklift; certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, occasionally up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Visual acuity to inspect and assemble small components.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 - $30.49 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
