Job Title: Sales Manager - Projects
Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing and developing the Project Sales team at EMCOR Aircond, reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Business Development. This position requires strategic planning, pipeline management, and a strong focus on customer experience, while driving sales performance and team development. The ideal candidate will have extensive sales and management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead independently to achieve company goals.
Location:
This role is based in Atlanta GA. Travel is required, 50%.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leadership:
- Work independently to coach and lead a team of sales professionals focused on developing and closing projects in the industrial mechanical construction industry.
- Develop business plans and sales strategies for all markets ensuring attainment of annual sales goals and profitability.
- Ensure team success by managing activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and bookings.
- Run all performance management, monthly reviews, quarterly training and professional development.
- Lead team by conducting one-on-one reviews to build effective communication, identify and develop individual professional development goals/needs.
- Create and conduct proposal reviews within Aircond's approval matrix.
- Manage sales pipeline for all opportunities within the projects group through Aircond’s CRM.
- Coach team to develop and execute effective marketing plans to increase overall projects pipeline with new and existing customers.
- Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Planning:
- Provide monthly forecast reports for all project base bookings.
- Own the capital project pipeline and planning process with existing customer base.
Customer Experience:
- Promote customer centric communication and relationship management.
- Maintain contact with key clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Develop team strategies to meet market and individual customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 5- 7 years of sales experience.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Suites.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
