Job Overview:
The Atmospheric Corrosion Technician Assess and documents visible corrosion on gas meter risers, identification and data entry of regulators, meters, etc. per provided guides.
Please note: Candidates must have a vehicle in good working conditions with required insurance coverage. A daily car allowance will be provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and document visible corrosion on gas meter risers, identification and data entry of regulators, meters, etc. per provided guides
- Measure and record specific field data at locations provided by the Client requiring strict conformance with the Client’s test procedures
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment as needed
- May be required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location
- May be required to travel up to 100% of the time
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required, AA degree desired
· Good written and verbal skills
· Must have Operator Qualification (OQ) 0141 EWN-PE Visual Inspection for Atmospheric Corrosion
· Must be able to complete basic data entry and read and identify locations from maps or tablets
· Must be familiar with basic smart phone or tablet functionality and related applications
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required
· Must take and pass a pre-employment drug test, physical and background check, and must adhere to and is subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol-related regulations
· OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety training must be current (within 2 years)
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain the required certification for Operator Qualification and OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety training on their own time and expense. Alisto Inc. may, at its own discretion, pay for the training and evaluation fee for selected applicants to become Operator Qualified
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to both stand and walk for extended periods of time (6 to 8 hours)
- Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, and crawl to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight spaces
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and ramps
- Must be able to work outside under various weather conditions including hot weather
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry up to 30 lbs. for an extended period of time
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear correctly, if required
- Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas and high-pressure gas
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
