Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundman to join our team. The Groundman plays a crucial role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of electrical maintenance and construction projects. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation and a solid understanding of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and takedown of job sites, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and bucket trucks as needed.
- Perform rigging and digging tasks to prepare sites for electrical work.
- Support high voltage operations by following established safety procedures.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
Skills
- CDL Class A - Required
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including Digger Derricks and bucket trucks.
- Experience with high voltage systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and use of voltmeters.
- Strong skills in using hand tools for various tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety.
