Role and Responsibilities
Transformer Specialists provide inspection, preventative maintenance, servicing, refurbishing and test analysis of electrical transformers in industrial and utility environments.
Specialists are responsible to Inspect and Service: housings, grounding, bushings, tanks, oil levels, oil filled bushings, cooling fans, oil pumps, vibrations, air movement, noise levels, anchors, positioning, radiator fins, ground resistors, tap change settings, loads, asset labeling, name plates, ARC and PCB labels, locking and security.
Specialists are required to change out bushings, gaskets, repair or replace taps, repair and repaint housings, repair or replace radiators and fans. Re-fill and verify proper tank levels.
Specialists are required to remove and replace transformers, place precast concrete slabs, place underground conduits, grounding rods, terminate feeders, lugs.
Perform Oil Processing for FR3 and mineral oil insulated transformers, operators restore oil by removing moisture, gases, and contaminants.
Medium to High Voltage Transformer Testing: Standard Insulation and winding testing experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $42.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
