Job Description: HVAC Preconstruction Estimator
We are looking for a HVAC Preconstruction Estimator to join a growing mechanical contractor that works on large commercial and institutional HVAC construction projects!!
HVAC PRECONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for estimating mid to large size commercial and institution HVAC projects.
* Responsible for equipment, material and subcontractor buy outs
* Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure bids are accurate
* Responsible for getting all bids in within required deadlines
* Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC and construction standards
* Read, understand and use provided plans and specifications to determine accurate estimated cost of jobs
* Use company estimating tools to provide consistent estimates
HVAC PRECONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
* Preconstruction Estimator will read all plans and specifications of jobs prior to bidding job and will create accurate cost estimates.
* Must be able to negotiate pricing with vendors
* Must be able to correctly bid jobs which come in at estimated costs
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of (5) five years estimating large Commercial and Institutional HVAC jobs.
* Familiar with State Building Codes, OSHPD, ASHRAE standards required.
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
