Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Plumber to join our team to build a Plumbing division for Southland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction plumbing and field service, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and perform various plumbing tasks. This role involves working on construction sites, remodeling projects, and maintaining plumbing systems to ensure they operate efficiently.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings.
- Perform construction plumbing tasks including rough-in and finish work.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other trades on remodeling projects to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and necessary repairs.
- Weld pipes and fittings as required for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot plumbing problems effectively.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Able to develop and manage plambing staff as the program develops and grows.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber in construction or remodeling settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for installation and repairs.
- Familiarity with welding techniques for pipe installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites.
- Valid plumbing license or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
