Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Program Development: Create and enhance safety programs to foster a culture of excellence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with safety regulations and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Training and Education: Conduct safety training sessions and equip employees with necessary skills; support LMS learning environment for safety.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations, identify root causes, and recommend preventive actions.
- Safety Audits and Inspections: Identify hazards and ensure prompt corrective actions.
- Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate safety records and present reports to management.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop response plans and coordinate drills for preparedness.
- Safety Equipment: Oversee procurement, maintenance, and distribution of safety gear.
What you bring to the team:
- Certifications: OSHA TTT or equivalent safety certification for construction or general industry.
- Experience: 3-5 years in safety management.
- Regulations: Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations (a plus).
- Communication: Excellent presentation and training skills.
- Influence: Ability to lead and influence others towards safety priorities.
- Team Player: Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Technology: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office (a plus).
- Languages: Bilingual English & Spanish (verbal & written) is a plus.
- Must have clean driving record and must be able to pass a background check.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Physical Activity: Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Stooping and Kneeling: Regularly required.
- Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasional basis.
- Outdoor Work: All weather conditions.
- Travel: Anticipate 20% travel across Texas.
- Hybrid work schedule may be available.
