Responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance and repairs on all physical structures and certain facility equipment, as well as grounds' maintenance in compliance with established safety rules, policies, and procedures. When needed, responsible for performing general and preventive plumbing repairs.
Qualifications:
- Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and dishwashers.
- Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
- Join pipes and fittings together using soldering techniques, compression fittings, threaded fittings, or push-on fittings.
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, or broken pipes.
- Repair or replace damaged parts of a plumbing system.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure they remain functional and efficient.
- Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
- Train associates and share plumbing knowledge as necessary.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturers recommendations and operation manuals.
- Perform general maintenance repairs for electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, etc.
- Advise management on plumbing equipment purchasing decisions.
- Assist inspectors and contractors in the testing, inspection, or repair of equipment, building and mechanical systems and structure.
- Respond to all emergencies such as fire, smoke, and panic alarms.
- Keep maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly.
- Participate in on-call rotation and on call for any emergency such as fire, smoke, and panic alarms.
Starting Wage: $26.00-$28.50
